UNITED CAPS Releases First Group Sustainability Report Highlighting Climate and Safety Initiatives
UNITED CAPS has published its inaugural Group Sustainability Report for the 2025 reporting year, marking a significant advancement in its sustainability efforts. The report adheres to the We Are Europe Mid-Cap Sustainability Reporting Standard, aligning with VSME and selected elements of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards. It offers a comprehensive overview of the company’s sustainability strategies, performance, governance, and priorities across its European and Asian operations.

Covering all entities within the Group’s financial reporting perimeter, it reflects a 2025 turnover of EUR 181 million and a balance sheet of EUR 214 million.
In 2025, UNITED CAPS conducted a double materiality assessment to identify key impacts, risks, and opportunities related to climate change, pollution, and circular economy, among others. This assessment informs the report’s structure and future sustainability goals. The company is committed to the United Nations Global Compact and has set near-term targets aligned with a 1.5°C pathway for greenhouse gas emissions.
The report outlines a 42% reduction target for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030, with a reported 87.6% reduction already achieved as of 2025. This progress is bolstered by initiatives such as sourcing 100% of electricity needs for European operations through a virtual power purchase agreement and expanding solar capacity.
Resource efficiency and circular design are emphasized, with ambitious targets for plastic waste and water consumption. Notable product innovations include the 26 FLIP ON closure, designed to minimize littering and enhance recyclability.
Safety and compliance remain paramount, with 100% of employees covered by a health and safety management system and zero fatalities reported in 2025.
