Baralan Launches Rethink Strategy for Sustainable Packaging
Baralan has announced its Rethink Strategy, aimed at enhancing sustainability within its cosmetic packaging offerings. This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to integrating eco-design, recyclability, and regulatory compliance into its product development processes.
In response to evolving European regulations and increasing environmental concerns, Baralan’s strategy focuses on reducing the use of virgin raw materials and optimizing material weight, particularly in glass and plastic components. The company is also expanding its use of recyclable materials and simplifying multi-material products.
Baralan is investing in proprietary technologies to create solutions that prioritize performance and environmental sustainability. Key developments include the adoption of single-material solutions, the introduction of post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials, and the design of refillable packaging options. The company is applying Design for Recycling (DfR) principles to enhance product efficiency while minimizing waste.
In addition to product innovation, Baralan is enhancing its compliance management for primary packaging, ensuring transparency and alignment with international standards.
