Lappí Labels and Flexible Packaging has announced the acquisition of Alempack, a Portuguese firm specializing in flexible packaging based in Elvas. This strategic move aims to bolster Lappí’s industrial capabilities in key formats such as doypack and flowpack, which are increasingly relevant in the flexible packaging sector for fast-moving consumer goods.

The acquisition is expected to enhance Lappí’s presence in the Iberian market, contributing to an estimated growth of approximately 15 percent. Alempack will continue to operate under its current management, ensuring continuity in its technical and commercial operations.

Alempack brings valuable expertise in various flexible packaging solutions, including reel-fed films, vacuum bags, shrink bags, and high-barrier packaging. These offerings will complement Lappí’s existing range of labels, sleeves, and flexible packaging products, reinforcing its market position across sectors such as food, beverages, pet food, hygiene, personal care, cosmetics, and home care.

Economically, Lappí anticipates reaching organic sales of approximately 74 million USD (65 million Euro) by 2026. With Alempack’s integration, total sales are projected to exceed 80 million USD (70 million Euro).

Following this acquisition, Lappí’s group will expand to six companies and seven production sites throughout the Iberian Peninsula. Alempack, which employs over 40 staff, will increase the total workforce from around 350 to over 390. Additionally, the group’s industrial footprint will grow from approximately 51,000 square meters to about 60,000 square meters across Spain and Portugal.
