Kingsmoor Packaging, a leading thermoforming company based in Somerset, has successfully maintained its AA grade BRCGS certification for another year, marking a decade of consistent achievement. The BRCGS certification, particularly under the revised issue 7 of the BRCGS Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials, is one of the highest accolades a business can receive in this certification scheme.

This certification not only simplifies the supplier approval process but also assists food companies in meeting the stringent requirements of the BRCGS Food Standard. It ensures compliance with legal obligations for retailers and food manufacturers by specifying essential practices such as Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP), good manufacturing practices, and hygiene and safety standards for packaging manufacturers serving the food and consumer products sectors.

James Hill, Managing Director of Kingsmoor Packaging, emphasized the significance of this achievement, stating, “Achieving a consecutive AA grade consistently over 10 years provides our customers, both existing and prospective, with reassurance of our commitment to producing safe, quality and legally compliant thermoformed packaging products.”

In addition to its commitment to quality and compliance, Kingsmoor Packaging is dedicated to sustainability through its Forming a Better Future strategy. The company has made strides in environmentally responsible manufacturing, with 50% of its electricity sourced from onsite renewable energy. To further highlight its sustainability efforts, Kingsmoor Packaging offers a Made with Solar Energy logo that can be embossed on selected packaging products, allowing customers to showcase their commitment to solar-generated power.

These initiatives reflect Kingsmoor Packaging’s broader commitment to integrating quality, compliance, and responsible manufacturing practices across its operations.
