Hubergroup Introduces LED-Curing Ink for Food Packaging at METPACK 2026
Hubergroup Print Solutions is set to unveil its new LED-curing ink series, NewV tin LED MGA, specifically designed for three-piece can applications, at the upcoming METPACK 2026. This launch aligns with the industry’s increasing shift towards LED-UV curing technologies in food packaging.
The NewV tin LED MGA product meets stringent safety standards, complying with the German Ink Ordinance (GIO), the Swiss Ordinance, and brand manufacturer guidelines. Jan Museler, Hubergroup’s metal decoration product manager, emphasized that this product offers metal decorators a reliable and future-proof solution that adheres to food safety requirements while providing excellent printing performance.
In addition to the LED-curing ink, Hubergroup will showcase its conventional offset series, TINKREDIBLE MGA, which has been recently launched globally. The company will also present its broader NewV range, which includes both LED and mercury-vapour UV curing systems, catering to various applications such as aerosols, closures, crown caps, and food cans.
The new product range is designed to deliver vibrant colors, enhanced scratch resistance, and environmentally friendly formulations. Hubergroup will also introduce complementary products, including varnishes and fountain solution additives, to create a cohesive system with its inks.
Patrick Hübel, director of product management and technical marketing for offset, noted that METPACK provides an ideal platform to showcase how Hubergroup’s integrated pressroom solutions can assist metal decorators in adapting to evolving market demands. By combining high-performance products with robust technical support, Hubergroup aims to help customers achieve consistent quality and efficiency while transitioning to advanced technologies.
