At Interpack 2026, flexible packaging emerged as a leader in the sustainability dialogue, according to Selin Bahar Meşulam, Chief Marketing and Growth Officer at Korozo Group. The event highlighted the industry’s shift towards sustainability, recyclability, and circularity, driven by increasing consumer expectations and regulatory changes.

Korozo showcased its commitment to sustainable practices, demonstrating that flexible packaging is no longer viewed merely as a cost center but as a vital component of brand strategy. Meşulam noted that brands are increasingly focused on how packaging can reduce environmental impact while extending shelf life, emphasizing the importance of consumer trust at the point of purchase.

Korozo’s KoroRCY MDO-PE laminating film exemplifies this commitment, enabling the production of fully recyclable mono-material structures that rival traditional multi-layer packaging in performance. The company has received an EcoVadis Gold Medal and consecutive CDP ‘A’ scores, underscoring its leadership in transitioning the flexible packaging sector towards a sustainable business model.

With an annual production of over 138,000 tons and operations in more than 80 countries, Korozo combines scale with agility and strategic depth, fostering partnerships across the supply chain. Collaborations with companies like Menshen and Pöppelmann illustrate Korozo’s belief that sustainable progress is achieved through genuine partnerships.

As the packaging industry evolves, Korozo is positioned as a key player in driving sustainable innovation, reflecting a broader industry trend towards responsible packaging solutions.
