EU’s PPWR Regulation Mandates Proof of Sustainability for Packaging

The European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), effective February 2025 and enforceable from August 12, 2026, is set to transform the landscape of corporate sustainability in packaging. This regulation demands that companies provide an EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC) for all packaging types, ensuring compliance with stringent sustainability standards.
