Durham Box Unveils Innovative Mother’s Day Packaging for Ringtons
Durham Box has partnered with Ringtons to create distinctive packaging for the 2026 Mother’s Day gift collection, following the success of their Christmas range. The centerpiece is the Mother’s Day Morning Gift Box, featuring intricate laser die-cut designs that enhance the brand’s spring floral artwork.
Produced on E-flute corrugated board with a white kraft liner, the packaging boasts a matte finish while ensuring durability for home delivery. A mock kraft effect printed on the liner enhances color vibrancy, combining the warmth of kraft with superior graphic reproduction.
A key highlight is the laser die-cut floral window, which adds depth and allows glimpses of the internal packaging, elevating the gifting experience. This design element builds on positive customer feedback from Ringtons’ Christmas offerings. The intricate shapes were made possible through Durham Box’s Highcon digital cutting technology, which maintains the structural integrity necessary for gifting.
Serena Philipson, head of product at Ringtons, praised the packaging’s finish, noting the excellent print clarity and unique design that distinguishes it in the market. She emphasized the ease of construction and sturdiness of the boxes.
In addition to the Mother’s Day Morning Gift Box, Durham Box also produced the Letterbox Love Gift, ensuring a cohesive premium presentation across Ringtons’ seasonal offerings.
Sally Caton, business development manager at Durham Box, highlighted the advantages of laser die-cutting for creating visually distinctive packaging without relying solely on print. This collaboration allowed for the effective translation of Ringtons’ floral designs into a practical corrugated format that combines vibrant digital printing with precision cutting.
Durham Box, based in County Durham, serves large-scale accounts across various markets and is part of the Logson Group, the UK’s largest independent supplier of corrugated packaging.
