Hovmand Unveils Ergonomic Lifting Solutions at Anuga FoodTec
At Anuga FoodTec, Hovmand is showcasing innovative solutions designed for the ergonomic and hygienic handling of materials in food production and packaging. This marks the Danish manufacturer’s debut at the international trade fair, which runs from April 26 to 29.
The food industry often subjects employees to significant physical strain due to the manual handling of heavy items such as mixing vessels, barrels, and various ingredients. Hovmand’s customizable lifting devices aim to mitigate these risks, enhancing both employee safety and food safety.
Hovmand’s flexible lifting devices facilitate the transportation of canisters, buckets, and drums, allowing for tipping and decanting operations up to a height of 2.30 meters. This innovation enables a single worker to manage multiple crates simultaneously, streamlining workflow and reducing physical strain.
Additionally, the company addresses the challenges of loading packaging machines with fresh stretch and packaging film. Hovmand’s roll manipulators, available in both electric and manual options, elevate film rolls to the necessary height and position for machine insertion, expediting film changes and accommodating larger rolls without compromising employee safety.
Hygiene is paramount in food production, and Hovmand’s lifting devices are designed to comply with stringent regulations. By minimizing manual handling risks—such as spills and improper handling—the devices contribute to safer production environments and reduce waste from damaged packaging materials.
All Hovmand mobile hoists are constructed from 100% electropolished stainless steel and adhere to GMP standards. Notably, they are the only mobile lifting equipment to meet protection class IP66, with options available for ATEX conversion for use in potentially explosive environments.
Hovmand can be found at Hall 7.1, Stand C-045 during Anuga FoodTec.
