Henkel Partners with Applied Adhesives to Enhance US Flexible Packaging Distribution

Applied Adhesives has entered into an exclusive distribution partnership with Henkel’s Packaging Adhesives division to bolster its presence in the US flexible packaging market. This collaboration aims to provide converters across the country with access to Henkel’s advanced adhesive and coating technologies.

The partnership combines Henkel’s extensive product portfolio and industry expertise with Applied Adhesives’ national sales organization, technical service, and logistics capabilities. Lisa Fieldhouse, director of Market Development at Applied Adhesives, emphasized the significance of this partnership in driving growth opportunities that add value for customers.

James Cooley, business director for flexible packaging at Henkel Adhesive Technologies, noted that Applied’s established reputation as an adhesive distributor and technical partner positions them as an ideal collaborator for Henkel in the US market. This partnership is expected to enhance customer service and technical support for flexible packaging applications, particularly in food and beverage, health and beauty, and pet product sectors.

Recent innovations from Henkel include a solvent-free adhesive system for flexible applications, such as pet food packaging, and a recyclable heat-seal coating that meets both US FDA and European food safety standards. Additionally, Henkel has collaborated with Ravenwood Packaging to provide hotmelt pressure-sensitive adhesives for their linerless labeling system, further showcasing its commitment to innovation in the packaging sector.
