Flexible Packaging Innovations Highlighted at Loupe Americas 2026
Loupe Americas 2026 is set to showcase the latest advancements in flexible packaging, reflecting a significant growth trend observed at previous Labelexpo events over the past 12 years. The exhibition will feature narrow and mid-web technologies that have been adapted for flexible packaging materials, including shrink sleeves and pouches, as well as form-fill-seal applications.
Label converters are leveraging their expertise in short-run flexible packaging, creating new opportunities for brand owners while enhancing profitability. This niche service allows them to compete effectively against wide-web converters, particularly in areas requiring customized, multi-SKU products with rapid turnaround times.
The event will present a comprehensive view of the flexible packaging ecosystem, featuring in-line flexo, digital and hybrid presses, slitters, lamination technology, and various materials and coatings. Key exhibitors are placing a strong emphasis on flexible packaging solutions alongside their label innovations.
HP Indigo will showcase its HP Indigo 200K Digital Press, which is capable of producing flexible packaging and shrink sleeves, emphasizing collaboration with finishing partners to create seamless production workflows. The press will be used in conjunction with Gonderflex’s thermal lamination platform and JetFx’s digital embellishment solution, compliant with FDA and EU food-contact regulations.
Karlville will demonstrate its new Combi laminator, suitable for flexible packaging and shrink sleeves, while AB Graphic International launches its ABG FlexPack division, featuring a Galaxy GS20 Plus pouch manufacturing line integrated with digital embellishment technology.
Mark Andy will conduct live demonstrations of printed flexible packaging applications, including a dog treat pouch and a form-fill-seal pack, utilizing materials from Multi-Plastics and inks from Sun Chemical. Flint Group Digital Xeikon will also be present, showcasing live surface printing on flexible pouches.
The exhibition will highlight a variety of materials, including Cosmo Films’ anti-fog BOPET films and Avery Dennison’s Rapid Roll flexible packaging materials. Innovations in barrier coating technology will also be featured, with Siegwerk presenting a high-barrier coating for recyclable mono-layer polypropylene pouches.
Loupe Americas 2026 promises to be a pivotal event for the flexible packaging sector, showcasing cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices that align with current market trends and regulatory standards.
